The only other game to claim multiple victories was Final Fantasy 16, earning accolades for Best Audio and Best Lead Performer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Faces Criticism on Steam Launch

The recently released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is receiving a lukewarm response from players, garnering only 29% positive reviews on Steam. With approximately 2,700 reviews on the platform, the reception is an improvement from its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2, which received a dismal 16%. However, compared to other AAA games, even those with significant launch issues, the rating is considered catastrophic.

Various criticisms have emerged, addressing concerns that were partly anticipated. Users on Steam highlight technical issues, including crashes, lag, and instability. Other concerns focuses on gameplay, citing server problems, skill-based matchmaking, and console auto-aim as significant drawbacks that make playing Modern Warfare 3 more frustrating than enjoyable.

The game is also criticized for being essentially a DLC at a full price. While it has some improvements over Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3 lacks sufficient content to justify its high price tag of 70 euros.

Given that the criticism extends beyond initial technical problems and delves into fundamental aspects of the game, it raises questions about the potential for developers to address these issues, especially considering the likely release of the next Call of Duty title in 2024. Players hope for more significant innovations and value for the price in future releases rather than incremental changes.
